Mrs. Alisha Kellum is thrilled to be the proud new principal of Cheyenne Traditional School!  She looks forward to building strong relationships with Cheyenne’s students, staff, and families, and working to engage all students in world-class, future-focused learning.

Mrs. Kellum grew up in the Scottsdale Unified School District and began her career in education in SUSD, as a Learning Resource Teacher at Ingleside Middle School.  Mrs. Kellum transitioned to teaching at Desert Mountain High School.  In 2017, Mrs. Kellum earned her first role in administration as an assistant principal at her alma mater, Desert Mountain.  She has served as an assistant principal for 5 years, three years at Desert Mountain High School and two years in Madison School District’s Madison Traditional Academy in Phoenix.

Mrs. Kellum holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Master of Education degree in Special Education and Elementary Education, both from Arizona State University. She also earned her Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2016. 

When she is not working, you can find Mrs. Kellum spending time with her husband and daughter and preparing for a baby boy on the way this July.
